The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit www.tricare.mil/shutdown

Health Services

Primary Care

Primary care is a health service you get from a primary care provider or primary care manager during a doctor’s visit. Some of these services include:
• Routine care, like an annual physical exam
• Medical treatment for nonemergency or nonurgent care
• Follow-up care if you have ongoing medical problems
• Preventive health care, like immunizations and allergy shots
• Family planning
• Patient education and counseling

Primary care also includes medically necessary diagnostic laboratory and X-ray procedures and tests. Primary care is used to treat adults and children, including infants and newborns.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality health care and maximize the medical deployability of the force.  Primary care services are comprised of three Army medical clinics:
  • Dunham Health Clinic at Carlisle Barracks
  • Fillmore Health Clinic at New Cumberland
  • Troop Medical Clinic at Fort Indiantown Gap
Don't forget to keep your family's information up-to-date in DEERS.
